I use gentle, modern training for dogs and their people.
I teach reward-based, force-free dog training to families in the Denver area. Using humane, scientific learning theories, I will show you how to transform your dog into a happy, well-behaved, and reliable companion.
You will find many dog trainers out there, so let me be clear about what I believe and what sets me apart from the others:
•Dog training should be fun and educational for both dogs and people, not a power struggle.
•Dog training is about building trust much more than it is about establishing “control.”
•Dogs learn our rules through socialization and training.•We cannot (and should not) punish our dogs into behaving better.
•I do not use or recommend punishment, corrections, or other averse methods. I use no shock collars, pinch collars, choke collars, alpha rolls, or force to make dogs obey.
•There is always stress to learning, punishment is always at play when learning/training is taking place but it is not necessary apply pain or scare a dog into behaving.
There IS a better way.
